Sound Shapes is a multidisciplinary collaboration between four Mothershippers. Together with musician Katy Gunn and sound healer Boshko Boskovic, Sol explores how sound orchestrates the dance of energy and matter as the catalyst of creation and perpetual transmutation. This ongoing project has been captured by filmmaker David Pérez Pérez for a 30-min documentary to be premiered at VOLTA New York.

Spurred by the monthly sound healing sessions set in the tepee in my studio, Sound Shapes is a multidisciplinary collaboration between four artists from our Mothership NYC collective. Together with vocalist /composer /musician Katy Gunn and sound healer Boshko Boskovic, I am exploring how sound orchestrates the dance of energy and matter as the catalyst of creation and perpetual transmutation. Our ongoing experimental project—which encompasses painting, sacred geometry, video, experimental music, improvised action, and sound healing—is being captured by documentary filmmaker David Pérez Pérez for a story coming soon to a theater near you!

Welcome to Last Frontier NYC (est. 2014), the painting studio of Sol Kjøk, Broadway Stages’ Artist-in-Residence. On most days, this floor serves as a private workspace, but occasionally, it becomes a venue for multidisciplinary artistic collaborations.
Events are sometimes hosted by Mothership NYC (est. 2005), Sol’s artist residence community a few blocks away; sometimes by NOoSPHERE Arts (est. 2011), a 501c3 organization originally founded by Sol to bring artist peers from elsewhere to NYC. This nonprofit is now the arts partner in the coalition behind Kingsland Wildflowers (est. 2016), the rooftop meadows crowning the building.
